Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Motorization allows you to open and close your blinds from up to 65 feet away with the push of a button on a remote control. Please be sure to add one remote control per order, and select “No Remote” when ordering up to an additional 23 motorized blinds for the same room (since one remote control will work on up to 24 blinds).

The 12-channel hand held remote control can be paired with up to 24 shades, and can operate up to 8 shades at once. Please be sure to add 1 remote per order.
Headrail Options ?
Headrail Options
2 blinds or shades mounted on the same headrail. Typically this is to cover a large window where the size is too large to allow a single shade. Each blind or shade on the headrail will have its own set of controls so one blind may be open while the other is closed. We recommend splitting very large blinds into 2-on-1 headrail. If it is recommended that your blind be split you can still choose to have it manufactured as one single blind, however, it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Bamboo shades are made with natural material, so colours may not be exact. Please order for entire room in one order to avoid dye lot changes
  • The natural elasticity of yarns, combined with the weight of the natural material, may cause shades to stretch from 1" to 1 1 ⁄2" after installation. 
  • Standard 6" valance for cordless lift.  9" valance for motorized lift shades.
  • Liners are made with 100% polyester. All liners are neutral to the streetside.
  • Motorization is not available with hold down bracket or side mount brackets.
  • 2 blinds on 1 headrail will have a minimum ½” gap between shades for operating clearance.
  • 2 blinds on 1 headrail over 96" will be spliced in one to three places and will not align with shade panels.

Amazed at how easy the blinds were to install and how perfect the fit was! Ended up getting blinds from SelectBlinds after being quoted extremely high at shops in town for a very similar product. Very happy with our choice. I do wish we would've gotten a coloured backing for street view, however...the white blackout layer isn't very pretty from the street - this was my fault though!

look great, very slow to lift

The wooden blinds look great in our kitchen. We are disappointed that they do not retract all the way (even when up as high as they go, they extend down 10" from where they are mounted, covering 8" of window) - and it takes quite a bit of patience to lift them up - it should not be this difficult! If we had known so much light would be blocked, we would not have purchased them. (This is not obvious in any of the descriptions)

I'm very happy with my blinds for the most part. Little disappointed that they took an inch off my measurement, half inch on each side of each blind. I would add a quarter inch onto my measurements next time ordering
