Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

These shades come in 23 beautifully natural colours, giving you all the options to customize and create your ideal bamboo window coverings. Add edge binding, privacy, or blackout liner for a cleaner and more durable appearance while providing ultimate light and privacy control.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Inside mount deductions: 1/3" on fabric and headrail.
  • Standard valances are 6" in height.
  • Liners are physically attached to the back of the woven wood shade and operate in unison with them.
  • Liners are the same colour on both sides (streetside and inside of shade).
  • No-drill Headrail is only available in the colour white and will be visible after installation, with or without valance.
  • No-drill headrail is only available for inside mount.
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the right side.
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

Initially we purchased 2 woven wood shades and were impressed with the speed of shipment and quality of the blinds. We then decided to to purchase an additional 2 knowing then what to expect. Installation was very easy and the fit was perfect (given I used my own measurement but followed the guidance on how to measure). The slight change we made on the 2nd set of blinds was adding the edging trim. The color on the website (slate) was slightly different (i. e darker) than what was received on the actual product so I would caution anyone adding that extra to carefully consider the variance that could occur between the small picture on the web site to the physical product when applied to the shades.
