Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Motorization allows you to open and close your blinds from up to 80 feet away with the push of a button on a remote control. Please be sure to add one remote control per order, and select “No Remote” when ordering up to an additional 4 motorized blinds for the same room (since one remote control will work on up to 5 blinds).

Two Fabric Cordless Top-Down Bottom-Up
The Sheer Light Filtering fabric (top) and either Light Filtering or Blackout fabric (bottom) operate independently, similar to top-down bottom-up. Simply lower the middle bar separating the two fabrics to get more natural light coming in from the top, while still maintaining privacy at the bottom. Push the middle bar all the way up for greater light blockage. Or raise the entire shade when you prefer a full view to the outside.

No-drill installation headrail
Install your window shades in minutes – no tools, no holes! All you have to do is place the no-drill headrail at the top of your window, push on the tension bar to lock it into place, and attach your shade.
IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

The 1/2" Double Cell Value Blackout Honeycomb Shades offer premium features at an affordable price and are made in 3 days. The deluxe blackout fabric blocks virtually all incoming light, and helps reduce energy bills with its insulating properties. These shades offer extra-wide widths to accommodate more window sizes – no need to use two separate shades to cover one window. All shades are custom built to your specifications and include colour-coordinated rails and components for a custom designer look. Choose from 13 stylish colors that were selected for their timeless appeal and ability to complement any decor.

Note: Inside mounted blackout shades might have a small light gap on the edges of the shade. If you would prefer no light gaps, please consider ordering outside mounted blackout shades.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Standard inside mount brackets are top mounted. Side mounting brackets available upon request for shades less than 48" wide only.
  • Adding hold down brackets to inside mounts will increase headrail deduction to 1/2" to make room for brackets.
  • Striker plates on shades more than 42" wide will be approximately 4" from edges.
  • Inside mount: Additional 1/4" (+/- 1/8") headrail deduction taken at factory on cordless shades.
  • All lift systems come with colour coordinated painted rails.
  • No-drill Headrail is only available in the colour white.
  • No-drill headrail option is only available for inside mount.
  • No-drill headrail max width: 84”. Max height: 84”. 2 1/8" of depth to install required.  
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the right side.
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

Double Cell Value Blackout Shades - excellent looking and well-made product, easy installation, great insulation properties. Have only been up for a few weeks, but have already noticed difference in regulating indoor temperature. With very large south windows, and temperatures fluctuating from 5C to 32C, the blinds are keeping my house comfortable. Also, peace of mind at night with the privacy. Great company to deal with, really appreciated final check from them to verify measurements, etc. Very reasonable price for high quality product. Samples are a must to see the colours in your home. Very pleased with my blinds! They fit perfectly except for a window control at the bottom of the window on the 2 little windows. Yes, I could have mounted them on the outside of the frame but wanted them mounted inside. I just work around it. They look amazing and are a huge improvement on the table cloth I had hammered to the top of the window frames. They keep the bright morning sun at bay, letting me sleep in! Thank you!!
