The 1/2" Double Cell Value Plus Blackout Honeycomb are popular for their ability to block out harsh sunlight during the day, and bright street- or floodlights at night. The fabric looks great in all size windows and the double cell construction ensures you’re getting superior performance when it comes to energy efficiency. The colour palette consists of rich colours and neutral tones to coordinate or contrast with your décor. The cordless Lift & Lock™ option provides cord-free aesthetics, easy operation and added safety in homes with children and pets. These options offer extra-wide widths to accommodate more window sizes. All Monarch shades are custom built and inspected for quality assurance.

Note: Inside mounted blackout shades might have a small light gap on the edges of the shade. If you would prefer no light gaps, please consider ordering outside mounted blackout shades.

Recommendations and Limitations

• Adding hold down brackets to inside mounted shades will increase headrail deduction taken at factory to 1/2". This is done to make room for brackets.
• Inside mount: Additional 1/4" (+/- 1/8") headrail deduction taken at factory on cordless shades.
• For outside mount shades, we recommend adding an additional 4" to your width to prevent light gaps on the sides of your window. This is especially important for Cordless Lift & Lock as the brackets cause the shade to stick out from the wall roughly 1".
• Headrails and bottom rails will vary based on lift style. It is recommended to order the same lift system for shades in the same room. Cordless Lift & Lock comes with fabric-wrapped rails.
• No-drill Headrail is only available in the colour white.
• No-drill headrail option is only available for inside mount.
• No-drill headrail max width: 84”. Max height: 84”. 2 1/8" of depth to install required.  
• The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the right side.
• IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.
