Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Back side of shade is white.
  • Inside mount: 1/4" headrail deduction and 3/8" fabric deduction taken at the factory. No deductions to headrail or fabric on outside mount.
  • Spacer blocks, extension brackets, hold down brackets, and side mount brackets are not available.
  • No-drill Headrail is only available in the colour white.
  • No-drill headrail option is only available for inside mount.
  • No-drill headrail max width: 84”. Max height: 84”. 2 1/8" of depth to install required.  
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the right side.

I measured my windows for the blinds purchased, but the notice that they would make deductions was not apparent. Would like to see this notice shown clearly maybe on a confirmation page. I measured specifically for a tight fit. If you are looking to do the same, I would add 1/4” since they took off 3/8” off my original measure.

I am very happy with the blinds. Everything worked perfectly. I was excited to try the drilless blinds. They proved to be easy to install and look amazing. This is the BEST customer service, I have ever dealt with. The cord broke in one blind. Which was covered under the 3 year warranty. But since they went with a different supplier. And needed to change to outside frame size. We did not have to pay full price for the second one
