Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Safety Guard
Safeguard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Safeguard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply raise the Safeguard shroud and operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

Motorization allows you to open and close your blinds from up to 50 feet away with the push of a button on a remote control. Description 

Zebra blinds provide the perfect balance of light and privacy with their innovative dual layers of bands. The Select Light Filtering Zebra Blinds feature alternating 3” solid bands and 2” sheer bands, adding a touch of modern sophistication to any room in your home.  

When the bands on both pieces of fabric align, the shades resemble horizontal blinds, allowing an outside view and letting natural light into the room. To filter more light and enhance privacy, simply rotate the fabric so the solid colour bands cover the entire shade, creating the appearance of a traditional roller shade. Or simply raise the entire shade for a full view to the outside. 

What’s more? The exclusive No Drill Blind Headrail option allows you to install your zebra blinds in minutes without the need for tools. Simply snap the headrail into place and insert your window shade. No tools, no holes, no hassle!  

For those wanting more of a blackout effect, the Select Room Darkening Zebra Blinds offer the same features while blocking out more natural light.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Inside mount: Factory will deduct approximately 1/4” from the headrail and 1 ¾” from the fabric to ensure a proper fit.  
  • Outside mount: Factory will deduct approximately 1 1/2" from fabric. No deduction taken on headrail.  
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. 
  • Products come with 6" of extra fabric to conceal roller. 
  • Shade must be installed evenly to avoid fraying on sides. 
  • Do not remove band around shade until fully installed to avoid fraying on sides of shade. 
  • All brackets are white and will be visible at the top of the headrail.  
  • No-drill installation headrail comes in white and is only available for inside mount. 
  • No-drill installation headrail requires 2 1/2" of depth to install and is not recommended for use with PVC window frames. 
  • Factory will deduct approximately 5/8” off of the no-drill installation headrail regardless of lift style and 1/2” off of the width and height of your fabric. 
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for Safety Guard. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options. 
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly. 
  • Safety Guard shroud is transparent.
