Description

Enhance your home with our versatile Designer Luxe Solar Shades collection, custom designed to reduce solar heat and glare while protecting you and your furnishings from harmful UV rays. These energy-efficient window treatments also lower the need for air conditioning, resulting in savings on your energy bill. 

Choose from a wide selection of weaves & patterns and openness percentages of 1%, 3%, or 5%. Select a higher openness percentage to allow more light to filter into the room and offer a better view to the outside. Select a lower percentage for less incoming light, and less of a view to the outside, but a higher degree of protection against harmful UV rays. For example, solar shades with a 5% openness block 95% of UV rays, while those with a 1% openness block 99% of UV rays. 

What’s more? You also have the option of white-backed fabrics from our Deluxe Collection - perfect for maintaining a consistent, white exterior appearance for contemporary homes or condos.

• Shades with an exposed roll will have a colour-coordinated aluminum bottom bar (white, black or anodized depending on the fabric colour)
• Shades ordered with a cassette or fascia will have matching aluminum bottom bar and headrail colours
• These shades have built-in Microban® antimicrobial protection which is effective against bacteria by up to 99.99%. The fabrics are protected against stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. This will help ensure your blinds stay clean and fresh for longer.
• All fabrics are ASTMG21 anti-microbial certified, making them fungal and bacteria resistant. 
• STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. Every thread of these blinds have been tested for harmful substances, assuring they are safe for your family and home.
• This product is GREENGUARD Gold certified. These blinds have been tested and verified to meet standards for chemical emissions and pollutants, making them a safe choice for indoor use.

Recommendations and Limitations

• Inside mount: 1/8” (+/- 1/8”) total deduction on width taken at factory to ensure a proper fit. Do not attempt to account for deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades.
• Fabric colour can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time.
• Safety Shield operated shades that have both width and lengths larger than 72” include a lift assist mechanism that reduces the effort required to operate the shade.
• 1 1/8” to 1 5/8” total fabric deduction on width taken at factory. Some lift systems require more room on the roller to operate, resulting in a slightly larger light gap on one side. Do not attempt to account for fabric deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades.

• Back of shade (street side) is the same colour as fabric in the Classic Collection. Fabrics in the Deluxe collection have a white backing (street side).
• Safety Shield cover is colour-coordinated to fabric (white or black). Length of Safety Shield is determined at factory based on height of shade. Note: The Safety Shield length is 5” to 7” shorter than the chain length depending on valance selection.
