Description 

See the sky like never before with these ultra-chic blackout skylight shades. Leave the shades open when you want maximum natural light to enter the room, or close the custom shades and block up to 99% of natural light when you want more privacy and darkness.

The Select Blackout Skylight Shades are made in the highly popular honeycomb/cellular style, with ¾” single cell construction. These energy-efficient, insulated window treatments take the ‘heat’ off of your power bill, helping to keep your room comfortable while spending less on heating and cooling costs.

Accent your furniture & room décor with the many colour choices available. And if you have windows in the same room as the skylight, you can match the same colour with the Designer Luxe Cordless Blackout Honeycomb Shades.

Even if the skylight is hard to reach, you can still open and close these shades easily, whether with the easy-grip handle for manual operation or the optional telescoping extension pole for maximum reach.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Available as inside mount only
  • Note: Your covering will not block 100% of the light. There will be a small light gap, like a halo effect, around the sides and on the top and bottom of the shade. This is due to how the shade fits inside the window.
  • Additional 3/16" (+/- 1/8") headrail deduction on taken at factory
  • Additional 3/8" (+/- 1/8") fabric deduction taken at factory
  • Rail is 1 5/8” on left and right side of shade
  • Side tracks, headrail and bottom rail are white

Light leakage

The overall purchase process was pretty good. The only exception is adding the pro install, which isn't explained very clearly. I called in to customer service and they explained it for me though. The blind looks great, but light leaks through the edges. This was the most disappointing part because I purchased a blackout blind. I wasn't expecting a complete blackout, but the amount of light leaking through is quite a lot.

Great Blinds, Great Service

I have ordered these blinds for the last house I was in and so when we moved to another province, I wanted these again in our house. We have so many windows and so much sunlight that comes in, we ordered the blackout honeycomb with sheer tops. The only problem is that I ended up sending them to my old house. I didn’t realize until after one of the blinds was sent to my old house that I knew something was wrong, luckily we have been in contact with the new owner and she was nice. I called SelectBlinds right away and they were so nice and responsive. Made sure the rest of the order went to the right address and had the blinds picked up from the old house and delivered to our new house. As long as you measure right, they make the blinds right every time. I have now ordered 9 blinds from here and say without a doubt that I not only recommend the product, but the service was exactly what I would hope for.
