Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Safeguard
Safeguard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Safeguard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To open or close your blind, simply raise the Safeguard shroud and operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Deductions on inside mount: ¼” taken on width and ½” on height. No deductions on outside mount.

13 new Blinds

Ordered 12 2” Designer Faux Wood Blinds, wouldn’t recommend getting them with 2 blinds on 1 track. I purchased 2 like this and they don’t turn with the wand. Have to use the string on the blinds to adjust them. Ordered one Classic Wood Faux Blind and the track came damaged. Track had a huge dent. Contacted customer care and they sent a replacement track that came undamaged. The thick plastic over the cords of the vertical blinds is annoying. We cut it off as it was constantly in the way.

I had measurements taken for 17 blinds. I ordered ordered and had them installed by a Select Blinds contractor. It was a big job and it has helped transformed my rooms. The new double roller shade is very useful and looks great. The roman shades are fantastic looking.

Poor Install Instructions

Took some doing but eventually threw out instructions and use common sense, measuring tape and dry fitting main rod and got blinds install and they look great. Stacking slide was very stiff but applied silicone lubricant which worked perfectly and smoothed slide action. Slats all came 1 inch too long so had to trim every one and somehow trimmed too much off one. Thought no big deal, they always give a couple of spare slats but surprise!! No extra slats so now I have one slats shorter than all the others.
