Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

2 blinds or shades mounted on the same headrail. Typically this is to cover a large window where the size is too large to allow a single shade. Each blind or shade on the headrail will have its own set of controls so one blind may be open while the other is closed. We recommend splitting very large blinds into 2-on-1 headrail. If it is recommended that your blind be split you can still choose to have it manufactured as one single blind, however, it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

The faux wood finish means you can get the refined look of real wood with even more durability. These blinds are resistant to bending or warping over time, and are also humidity- and moisture-resistant – making them great blinds for kitchens and bathrooms. They’re also super easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth, making them a low maintenance addition to your home. Choose from a wide range of neutral colours and wood stains for the perfect match to your décor. Complete the look with an optional Standard Deco, Modern or Crescent valance.

These newly redesigned faux wood blinds are available with two options: Raise/Lower & Tilt (a fully operational lift system) or a Tilt Only system. 

The Raise/Lower & Tilt lift option allows you to lower or raise the blinds to any level with cordless Lift & Lock™ operation. In addition, the tilt wand allows you to easily open and shut the slats, for the ultimate in light control and privacy. 

The tilt only system allows you to open and close the slats, but the blinds cannot be raised (the blinds will always be in the lowered position).

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Factory deductions of 3/4” on the headrail and 1/2" on the blind for inside mount. A 1/4” deduction is taken on the headrail only on outside mounts. Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Please do not need to account for these deductions in your measurements. 
  • Inside mount valances are straight cut and 1/8" narrower than your ordered width.
  • Outside mount valances are straight cut and 1" wider than your ordered width, with 3" returns.
  • Total square footage of Tilt Only blind cannot exceed 36.5 sq. ft.
  • Total square footage of Raise/Lower & Tilt blind cannot exceed 40 sq. ft.
  • Valances over 102” will be spliced in the middle

I was disappointed when my blinds arrived and they weren’t the snap in type. I didn’t realize the faux wood ones weren’t eligible. When I went on chat, basically the person said that I couldn’t return them and then offered me a discount on my next order! Thankfully, when I emailed later the next person gave me great customer service.

The blinds are great quality & have held up well! We also got to experience the great customer service. One of our blinds had a bit of a manufacturing defect (nothing crazy, but something we would notice looking at everyday) we snapped a few pictures and sent it to the customer service support and they responded right away letting us know they would be sending a replacement set of blinds at no cost to us!
