Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

2 blinds or shades mounted on the same headrail. Typically this is to cover a large window where the size is too large to allow a single shade. Each blind or shade on the headrail will have its own set of controls so one blind may be open while the other is closed. We recommend splitting very large blinds into 2-on-1 headrail. If it is recommended that your blind be split you can still choose to have it manufactured as one single blind, however, it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

If you’re looking for top of the line, all-wood horizontal blinds to spruce up your space, these 2” Premium Wood Blinds are the window treatments for you. The natural wood texture adds a touch of warmth to any room. Made from natural basswood, these blinds exude elegance and style, and their timeless look is always on trend.

These newly redesigned wood blinds are available with two options: Raise/Lower & Tilt (a fully operational lift system) or a Tilt Only system. 

The Raise/Lower & Tilt lift option allows you to lower or raise the blinds to any level with cordless Lift & Lock™ operation. In addition, the tilt wand allows you to easily open and shut the slats, for the ultimate in light control and privacy. 

The tilt only system allows you to open and close the slats, but the blinds cannot be raised (the blinds will always be in the lowered position).

Made with high-quality craftsmanship, the durable basswood 2” slats resist warping and fading over time. Choose from an array of inspired colours: from true white and natural wood finishes, to deep grey tones, you’ll find the perfect hue to fit perfectly with your home décor. And you can choose between 2 valance styles to complete the look.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Factory deductions of 3/4” on the headrail and 1/2" on the blind for inside mount. A 1/4” deduction is taken on the headrail only on outside mounts. Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Please do not need to account for these deductions in your measurements. 
  • Inside mount valances are straight cut and 1/8" narrower than your ordered width.
  • Outside mount valances are straight cut and 1" wider than your ordered width, with 3" returns.
  • Total square footage of Tilt Only blind cannot exceed 36.5 sq. ft.
  • Total square footage of Raise/Lower & Tilt blind cannot exceed 45 sq. ft.
  • Valances over 102” will be spliced in the middle

Shades and blinds

I do like my blinds and shades, however, I would have preferred to see them in person as the photos on the website are not very clear and don't show specific enough details during the ordering process. I was surprised when I saw my shades for the first time as I didn't think they would look that flat when the shades were down. I thought they would have had a little bit of a shape instead they are completely flat. They look better when they are partially raised. I did not order a liner for the shades, but after installing them, I realized I should have because from the outside the shades look unfinished, which is not my style. I would have preferred to see a clear image or video of the difference when ordering a certain model of shades with and without certain options. I do like my shades, but I would have loved them much much more had I known what they would have looked like had I opted for the extra options. I live in Montreal, but the office there does not have a showroom. This was a big investment for me, and having a showroom or a clearer image or video on the website would have made my choice of purchase much easier. Also, I needed to purchase a metre of fabric (the same fabric as the shades) to make a small panel curtain for the window on my door, but your Canadian website does not sell pieces of fabric, only the US website does. This is very disappointing as now I have a curtain on my door that does not match the shades. As for my wooden blinds, they look awesome! I just find they are heavy on the bottom, so when they are raised the bottom part is always crooked. Thank you. I also enclosed some photos.

Ordering and delivery of the two blinds was perfect. A couple of issues. The wand on one blind stick out when the blind is open. The wand on the other one is very stiff.
