Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

No-Drill installation headrail
Install your window shades in minutes – no tools, no holes! All you have to do is place the no-drill headrail at the top of your window, push on the tension bar to lock it into place, and attach your shade.
IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

  • Inside mount: 1/2" fabric deduction and 1/4" headrail deduction taken at the factory.
  • Outside mount: 1/8” fabric deduction and no headrail deduction.
  • No-drill installation headrail option: 5/8" deduction. 
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade.
  • Clear plastic handles are included.
  • The no-drill installation headrail comes with a matching fabric-insert and is only available for inside mount.
  • No-drill installation headrail max width: 78”. Max height: 78”. Requires 2 1/2" of depth to install.
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail is located on the right side.
