Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Operate your blinds easily and smoothly with the cordless lift system. You can also upgrade to the Premium cordless lift system which allows you to set a custom stop location at your desired height.

Finish the look with a stylish cassette valance with matching fabric insert. Order free samples so you can feel the textures and see the colours right in your home.

Options

Recommendations and Limitations

  • For inside mounted shades with exposed roll, the headrail will be deducted by 1/8". Cordless Lift shades will get a fabric deduction of 3/4".
  • For outside mounted shades with exposed roll, the headrail will not be deducted. Cordless lift shades will get a fabric deduction of 3/4". 
  • For inside mounted shades with a cassette, the headrail will be deducted by 1/4". Premium Cordless shades will get a fabric deduction of 1".
  • For outside mounted shades with a cassette, the headrail will not be deducted. Premium Cordless shades will get a fabric deduction of 3/4". 
  • Do not account for factory deductions when measuring your windows.
  • Plastic grip supplied upon request.
  • Cassette headrail is required for Premium Cordless lift option.

Overall, we are happy with this purchase. We didn’t see a sample of the fabric we chose so we risked it and it was perfect. The colour compliments our kitchen beautifully and the material is top notch. The only issue we have is that there is a pretty noticeable gap between the top of the shade and the frame of our window. It seems like the brackets were probably bigger than they needed to be-if they were smaller, the gap wouldn’t be as noticeable. Bothers me a bit that I can see the screws into the frame or our window. Other than that, the covering itself is really high quality and we’re happy with our first experience ordering from Select Blinds.
