Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

Chain Guard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Chain Guard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply raise the Chain Guard shroud and operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

These shades include alternating bands of 5% solar fabric and sheer fabric, for a finish that is as beautiful as it is useful. You can easily adjust the bands for privacy control, and to let in as much or as little light as you want.

The 5% openness of the solar fabric protects your home from 95% of the sun’s harmful UV rays, keeping your furniture and walls from discolouring and fading. Plus, these blinds help with heat control, saving you on energy costs. The mix of solar and sheer fabric bring practicality and style together in one seamless product.

Choose from five neutral tones, sure to complement any design and colour scheme in your home. Upgrade to a cordless lift system for the ultimate in child safety and convenience. 

These window coverings come with all the hardware needed for simple, DIY-friendly installation. Feel free to start by ordering free samples to see and feel the fabric right in your own home. Then your redecorating can begin!

Options

Recommendations and Limitations

  • No extra fabric is added to the roller.
  • Product can only be mounted to the top or rear of window casing. Side mounts not available.
  • Headrail deduction: 1/4" with or without cassette.
  • Inside mount: Fabric will be 1 3/8" less than ordered width. 
  • Outside mount: Fabric will be 1 1/8" less than ordered width.
  • We recommend ordering the same lift system for shades going in the same room.
  • Cordless blinds come standard with white headrail cassettes and bottom rail.
  • Motorized blinds have colour-coordinated fabric-insert cassettes.
  • Depending on the height of the shade, opaque sections may not align in the fully lowered position.
  • No-drill headrail is only available in the colour white and will be visible after installation.
  • No-drill headrail is only available for inside mount.
  • No-drill installation headrail requires 2 1/2" of depth to install.
  • Factory will deduct approximately 5/8” off of the no-drill installation headrail. Deductions may vary +/- 1/8".
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for Safety Guard. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options. 
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly.

I ordered a set sheer shades, unfortunately when I opened them there were some light scratches on them.
