Mount Type - Inside or Outside Mount Refers to the way in which the blind will be hung, either inside or outside the window opening. Inside mount blinds are mounted inside the window frame opening that is recessed from the wall. Outside mount blinds hang outside the window opening on a wood trim, wall or door. Inside mount is by far the most popular mount and provides a nice clean look and finish to your window.

For inside mounts: please make sure to follow the Measuring Instructions on our site; do not make any deductions in your measurements, as our factory will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.

The child-safe cordless lift system lets you raise and lower the shades by simply pulling on the bottom rail.

Safety Guard
Safety Guard is a transparent shroud that covers the Continuous Cord Loop in compliance with the new Canadian regulations for improved child safety. When in the neutral position at the bottom of the chain, the Safety Guard leaves <22 cms of exposed chain at the top of the shade. To raise or lower the shade, simply operate the exposed chain at the bottom as you would with a regular Continuous Cord Loop.

Control your blinds with your smartphone or voice-controlled Amazon or Google device by connecting them to the Neo Connect Smart WiFi Controller. To use the Smart Blinds Hub, you must order this product with Motorization lift option. Controller range is approximately 150 feet. One (1) controller is recommended per every 2000 square feet. A remote control is required to program your blinds. Please be sure to add 1 remote per order.

Recommendations and Limitations

  • Cordless lift: Fabric width will be approximately 1-1/8" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades, and 3/4" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory. 
  • Safety Guard and Motorized lift: Fabric width will be approximately 1-1/2" smaller than ordered width on inside mounted shades and 1-3/16" smaller than ordered width on outside mounted shades. Deductions taken at factory. 
  • Inside Mount: 1/4" deduction off headrail. No deduction will be made for outside mount. 
  • Factory will deduct approximately 5/8” off of the No-Drill Blinds Headrail, regardless of lift style. When No-Drill Blinds Headrail is ordered, factory will deduct 1/2” off of the width and height of your fabric. 
  • Deductions may vary +/- 1/8. 
  • Cassette will be white and fabric wrapped based on fabric chosen. Bottom rail is fabric wrapped to match. 
  • Back of shade (street side) is white. 
  • Do not attempt to compensate for the fabric deductions taken during manufacturing for inside mount applications. Adjusting the measurement could result in the shade not fitting inside the window opening. Some lift systems require more room on the roller to operate, resulting in a slightly larger light gap on one side. 
  • The locking mechanism on the no-drill installation headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for Safety Guard. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options.  
  • IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If the no-drill installation headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and use those measurements as your width. Do NOT take the smallest of the three measurements, which may cause your headrail to not fit properly. 
  • Safety Guard shroud is transparent. 
  • Safety Guard length is based on the height of the shade ordered:
